This young woman is Corisande Armandine Léonie Sophie de Gramont. Corisande was about eighteen when she sat for this charming portrait by Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun. A few years later Corisande married Charles Augustus, the 5th Earl of Tankerville in 1806, and a little over 200 years after that, the portrait sold for $122,000 USD to a private collector.
